 Giant's Causeway Coast Sportive

3 Routes...All Abilities

The Giant's Causeway Coast Sportive set the message boards alight last year with raving reviews of the 3 challenging routes on offer along the iconic Giant’s Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland.

  • 36miles (57km) - The popular Causeway Coaster returns this year as a perfect entry-level sportive route. Although still a considerable challenge with pre training definitely required, this circular route is mostly on flat terrain and takes in stunning scenery as well as passing Ireland’s oldest whiskey distillery, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge and the Giant’s Causeway UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • 80miles (126km) - The stunning Glens and Coast route traverses the magical Glens of Antrim before following one of the most popular coastal roads in Europe. In a unique twist to this year’s event, participants will have the option of either taking on or indeed opting out of the now infamous Torr Head Road.

  • 115miles (182km) - The Giant Killer will no doubt still be haunting last year's participants and with upwards of 20% hills, 100 miles in, you can be rest assured - this route certainly takes some beating!

Date: Saturday 15th September 2012.

Length: 36/80/115 miles

Start point: see http://www.giantscausewaycoastsportive.com for more info
